Erin of Bluebirdbaby is hosting a photo challenge: 30 days of beauty. I haven't been blogging much lately and I think this will be just the thing to get me going!

spending time...
-Helping Nick finish his "Age of Exploration" project.
-Celebrating Saint Nicholas Day at school, the children were quite excited to find the baskets of treats outside their classrooms.
-cleaning, organizing and more organizing, Nicks room is actually a pleasant place to be.
-reading "The New York regional Mormon singles Halloween dance" by Elna Baker. I love her honesty. Though I'm not a young single Mormon, I relate to her. I'm a new convert and struggle with this new identity. Like Elna says, "In addition to being a Mormon, I was Elna". In addition to being a Mormon, I am Lori.
-hoping that people realize there are church members(and non-members) that feel nauseous/frustrated/turned off when political talk/liberal bashing/history lessons occur AT CHURCH. Did you hear it from The First Presidency or the apostles? If not, please keep it to yourself.
-Loving Courtney Kendrick(CJane) she rocks!
-appreciating my Bishop and his genuine concern and kindness.
-excited about my husband starting school!
-preparing for holiday celebrations
-thinking about babies-I'm 35-now or never?
-spending time with good friends
-thinking about my parents and how much I love them.
