While on an outing to Portland with friends I came across this book and just had to have it. I LOVE vintage books on domesticity. It was published in 1948. I couldn't help but laugh when I spotted chapter 22...

I took the kids to the midnight show...we had a great time! I loved, loved, loved the movie!

day 26-halloween 2009

My favorite time of year! Emmy dressed as Alice, Maeve as Nancy Drew, and sweet Nick helped out his great-aunt and uncle with their halloween candy while they went to mass.

day 25-We are loving this!

day 24 -Bakesales!

Maeve's class had a bake sale to go along with their math unit on money. I think her gingerbread was a success because she sold out!

This is a wondrous and extraordinary movie! Maeve and I highly recommend it.
